Supporting good causes since 2003

Activities and Shows

In addition to our Daleks, Monsters and Costumers who entertain guests whilst on patrol around the event, we are able to offer a number of activities and shows to make your event a success. We can offer you guidance and support you to choose what will work best at your event.

Audience with the Daleks

We created this show back in 2003 and still proves to be a favourite among the crowds. This is the perfect opportunity for the children and adults alike to put questions to the Daleks. Questions that you are likely to hear: "How does a Dalek go to the toilet?" "What do Daleks eat?" "What do Daleks do for fun?" - all of these types of questions will provoke interesting reactions from the Daleks and the answers are not always as expected or obvious. At the end of the show, the audience have the opportunity to vote for their favourite Dalek. Which Dalek will come out on top and which will receive the wooden spoon?

Dalek & UNIT Showdown

A new and popular activity to our portfolio - the Daleks doing what they do best - Exterminating!

A battle scenario where the Daleks will battle UNIT soldiers and will follow a pre-planned route around your event leading to a showdown, where naturally the Daleks are victorious in defeating the UNIT forces.

It's like 'Day of the Daleks' but without the explosions.

Doctor Who Play

Take your guests on an adventure in space and time with one of our light hearted Doctor Who Plays. Our plays feature various incarnations of the Doctor, companions and the Daleks (of course).Your guests are guaranteed to laugh and we promise an extermination or two.

Approx. duration: 20 minutes

Asylum of the Daleks Experience

It is offensive to the Daleks to exterminate such "divine hatred" and the Asylum was devised as an institution for Daleks who have passed their best or have gone insane - but they are just as dangerous and still armed.

Your guests will enter the depths of the asylum by UNIT escort and showed the different Dalek variants whilst they're hibernating... or are they?

Dalek Parade

The Daleks and Costumers will form a parade that will make its way around the venue so that visitors to the event can see all the Daleks and Costumers at the same time. The parade usually takes place at the end of each day and will conclude at an open area or the stage (if applicable) where they will line up and give the public the opportunity to pose and take photographs with the group.

Q&A Talks and Interviews

Audience with the Daleks isn't our only Q&A talk we hold. From Dalek Construction talks to cast interviews, we can do it all. Jon Davey (Dalek Operator, Cyberman from the show) is a regular attendee at our events and takes audiences through his journey on Doctor Who.

Cast Signings

Depending on your requirements, we are able to invite a number of cast members to attend which will bring in many more

visitors. Usually, the cast members will charge the hosting charity/venue for attendance and negotiate that the charges for signatures are given to the charity/venue. In some instances, we have been able to negotiate attendance for free and the cast member will personally charge for their signature.

Cosplay Competitions

We can arrange for a ‘Cosplay Competition’ to take place for visitors, adults and children alike. In the advertising of the event we encourage that the visitors dress up for the day. On the day of the event we would announce over the venue’s tannoy system or local PA system for contestants to register their entry to the CDS PA desk. A panel of judges are formed of cast members and CDS members to judge the contestants. There is first and second place, who will receive a rosette each and depending on budget for the event, we may be able to present a main prize for first place.

Model and Trader Displays

We are able to work with a number of traders in Doctor Who and Sci-Fi merchandise to attend the event. We also have a number of Model Makers in both life-size and miniature sized models of fantastic quality. From static Dalek models, to Cybermen, from the TARDIS to Weeping Angels - this is an excellent addition to the event as we are able to create an exhibit of these props for the visitors to view.

Dalek Obstacle Course

The 'Dalek Obstacle Course' is a simple activity that we run which gets the children up close with their Dalek masters. The Daleks line up as obstacles to the children's goal of winning the race. Two teams are formed and the first team to get all members back to the start will win. Most of the Daleks in the group are fitted with a water gun and they will make it difficult for the teams to reach their goal, as they attempt to exterminate them (with water) whilst they run past.

Dalek Races

Ready? Set? Go! And they're off! Daleks racing each other to be the superior racer. Daleks are very competitive to be supreme! This has proven to be a great spectator activity and gives some light-hearted fun to the day.

Children’s Activity Workshops

This activity has proven to be very popular with the younger visitors to the event.

Ahead of the event, we can provide the hosting charity/venue with templates for printing which can be used for colouring in.

In the Dalek Building Workshop, children can build their own miniature Daleks using everyday items. We can suggest items

to purchase ahead of the event, which usually consists of plain paper cups, sticky circular labels etc.
